2017 Rewards for Excellence

It's that time of year to again gather entries for the annual SC/NSPRA Rewards for Excellence program. You do not want to miss this opportunity to receive peer feedback on your work over the past year. Entries can be submitted in nearly 20 categories and we welcome your larger projects including comprehensive PR programs and campaigns. We ask that you share this information with your schools so they, too, can be recognized for their outstanding work to engage stakeholders.

SC/NSPRA has for years partnered with our sister chapter in Mississippi to evaluate district and organization level entries. School-level entries will be evaluated by a team of SC/NSPRA members and we strive to provide written feedback on each entry with the goal to provide useful tips to continually improve the communications and public relations practices in schools and districts across South Carolina.

Awards will be announced in April 2017 during a recognition luncheon at the SC State Museum!

The annual awards program celebrates exemplary works in the area of school communications and offers three different awards categories:
  1. Golden Achievement Award, which recognizes exemplary public relations activities, programs, and projects;
  2. Publications and Electronic Media Awards, which recognizes outstanding work in all types and all forms of educational communications; and the
  3. Golden Medallion Award, which recognizes superior overall educational public relations programs.
Please invite your schools to consider entering a nomination. The deadline to submit is Friday, January 27, 2017. If you have any questions, please feel free to call RFE Coordinator Pete Pillow at (864) 621-1915 or e-mail to

Don’t miss this opportunity to have your work evaluated in SC/NSPRA’s annual awards program. We look forward to receiving your entries!
