Are you a member yet?

Dear Colleague,

We are beyond excited to invite you to join the South Carolina Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (SCNSPRA) for 2024-25!

SCNSPRA provides invaluable insight, experience and assistance. Members know they can always reach out to their SCNSPRA colleagues for help, and I am honored to serve as the chapter's president this year. The relationships we build and support we provide each other are invaluable, and together we help support public education!

The SCNSPRA Executive Board diligently began work this summer to plan meetings, conferences, and other offerings for the membership this year. Our chapter activities are designed to provide you with assistance and resources to grow as a communications professional and are a direct result of your feedback and requests.

Your membership in SCNSPRA provides:

  • Conferences and professional development opportunities throughout the year.
  • Access to SCNSPRA's member Google group for emergency help, networking, questions and information sharing.
  • Financial assistance for members seeking professional accreditation (APR).
  • Access to online school PR resources through the Chapter's website (www.scnspra.org), social media (@scnspra), and our discussion email group.
  • SCNSPRA's Rewards for Excellence Program that recognizes outstanding communications and public relations efforts by schools, districts and educational agencies and associations.

For 2024-25, SCNSPRA already has a variety of offerings planned for its members:

  • SC Department of Education and SCNSPRA Back-to-School Public Information Officer Meeting on August 27, 2024 at the SC Department of Education’s new office in Columbia, SC
  • SCNSPRA and NCSPRA Joint Fall Conference November 13-15, in Asheville, NC
  • Winter Chapter Workshop, January 24, 2025 in Camden, SC
  • SCNSPRA's Rewards for Excellence Program Awards Luncheon on May 9, 2025 in Columbia, SC.
  • SCNSPRA Communicator of the Year and Superintendent Leadership in School Communications Awards.

We're excited for you to join SCNSPRA today and be a part of the best school public relations and communications group in South Carolina. Enclosed is a membership application form that may be duplicated as needed and returned with a check payable to SCNSPRA ($30.00 for individual membership; $110.00 for a district membership with up to 5 members; and $15 for additional district members) by October 1, 2024 to:

SCNSPRA, PO Box 81, Sumter, SC 29151
